College Admission Writing Consulting Services

I am excited to announce, and I am sure some of you are excited to hear, that I will be offering college writing consulting services starting in early 2024 (as soon as Common App announces its essay prompts for 2024-2025).

Since I will be working with a limited number of college applicants each year, I recommend that high school juniors request to be added to my 2024–2025 waitlist now. Sophomores and freshmen are welcome to request to be added to my waitlists for 2025–2026 and 2026–2027, respectively. Students on the waitlists who are currently enrolled in writing classes with me will be given priority, as will students who have completed the following courses: Grammar, Editing II, Writing Critique (at least one year), and Advanced Vocabulary (at least six months).

In the last ten years that I have been teaching my communication-focused writing classes, I have helped students choose the “right” topics to write about—ones that capture their stories and that readers will want to read and reflect on. I have also utilized my natural aptitude for interviewing to help transfer those stories onto paper in a well-organized and structured format and used my keen eye for details and knowledge of a plethora of grammar and punctuation rules to polish the writing.

Writing when done properly can be powerful—and college admission writing when done properly can help applicants stand out in a sea of applications.
